Development Aid Data Taxonomy Workshop

Related: Agriculture and Food Security, Global Stability and Security

In April 2011, Meridian Institute facilitated a meeting in Washington, DC, among a dozen experts in the field of international development aid, to discuss the potential need for a new “taxonomy” for development aid data. Taxonomy in this case refers to a system for categorizing flows of development aid, in terms of geography, source, amount, purpose and so forth. The meeting was convened and funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
