Air Force Training Range Mediation

Meridian Institute assisted the US Air Force and the Greater Owyhee Legal Defense (a coalition of citizen conservation and sporting organizations and individuals) settle two lawsuits dating back to 1990 and several associated appeals regarding Air Force operations in southwestern Idaho. More

Barry M. Goldwater Range Task Force

Meridian Institute aided in the creation, development, and facilitation of a nine-person, congressionally mandated task force established to determine and assess various means of resolving the conflict between dual objectives at Barry M. Goldwater Range in southwest Arizona. More


Bechtel/Connecticut Yankee Nuclear Power Plant Decommissioning

In 2001, Meridian Institute staff conducted an issue mapping/assessment process for Bechtel Power Corporation regarding the decommissioning of Bechtel’s Connecticut Yankee Nuclear Power Plant. More


Building Bridges: Federal and Local Government Collaboration

Meridian Institute staff worked with the US Forest Service and the Northwest Colorado Council of Governments on an effort to build more constructive relationships and address several outstanding issues between the Forest Service and local governments in Colorado’s Blue River watershed. More


California Gulch Community Advisory Process

In late 2009, Meridian was retained by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to form and facilitate a community advisory group to provide the EPA with input on the cleanup of the California Gulch Superfund site in Colorado. More


Cimarron River - New Mexico Collaborative Watershed Project

Clearwater Basin Collaborative

Meridian Institute provided process design, strategic advice, and facilitation services during the launch of the Clearwater Basin Collaborative, a multi-stakeholder group that provides recommendations to the US Forest Service regarding the use and management of the Clearwater and Nez Perce National Forests in Idaho. Columbia Basin Fish and Wildlife Authority Strategic Planning

In January 2003, Meridian assisted the full membership of the Columbia Basin Fish and Wildlife Authority (CBFWA) in drafting and agreeing on a new strategic vision for the CBFWA, as well outlining an action plan for the next three to five years. More


Conejos -- New Mexico Collaborative Watershed Project

In 2004, Meridian was hired to help local communities in the San Antonio and Los Pinos River watersheds to develop the capacity to improve water quality. More


Dow Louisiana and Shintech Facility Siting
