- National Blueways Task Force
- With support from the Walton Family Foundation, Meridian Institute is facilitating a National Blueways Task Force. The Task Force will convene a series of meetings to generate ideas regarding the National Blueways System designation process, anticipated benefits, designation criteria, and general scope and direction.
- UN-REDD Programme Retreat and Joint Meeting
- Meridian Institute was commissioned by the Government of Norway’s International Climate and Forest Initiative to support the United Nations Collaborative Programme on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (UN-REDD Programme) by assisting with two of their events: an all-staff retreat and a joint meeting of the Head of the UN-REDD Programme Secretariat.
- Conservation Leadership Council
- The Conservation Leadership Partnership, or CLP, aims to re-establish the conservative and libertarian intellectual case for conservation by exploring innovative initiatives and ideas that can effectively address our most pressing environmental challenges. The initiative is guided by the distinguished Conservation Leadership Council, which is made up of former government officials, public policy experts, leaders in the agricultural community, and business visionaries.

- Meridian supports Northeast Workshop on Regional Ocean Planning
- In March 2012, Meridian supported NROC in convening the Northeast Workshop on Regional Ocean Planning held in Bristol, RI. The workshop convened approximately 180 regional stakeholders from a range of sectors and geographic distribution within the region, as well as state, federal, and tribal representatives to build a shared understanding of ocean planning in the Northeast, lay the groundwork for successful ocean planning in the Northeast, and provide meaningful engagement among participants. - Conservation Leadership Partnership Hosts Roundtable on Water Quantity and Infrastructure Financing
- On Thursday, October 18, the Conservation Leadership Partnership hosted a roundtable meeting on water quantity and infrastructure financing at Augusta State University in Augusta, GA. Participants at the roundtable were well informed and engaged, which sparked conversation not only with the presenters but also among audience members.
  
  The 20 attendees ranged from ranchers to municipal officials to academics to regional think tank representatives. Others tuned in to a simulcast webinar and also comprised an interesting mix of organizations, which included several reporters, think tanks, staff from state offices and the National Governors Association. - Conservation Leadership Partnership Hosts Roundtable on Entrepreneurial Approaches to Habitat Conservation
- On July 27, 2012, Meridian facilitated a roundtable at the Denver Botanical Gardens hosted by the Conservation Leadership Partnership and the Colorado Cattlemen's Association.
  
  About 35 people participated from a range of backgrounds and organizations interested in exploring various options and ideas for how we can best conserve habitat at the local and regional level through market-based approaches and limited government involvement.
