Indonesia Fisheries Landscape Assessment

Related: Oceans and Coasts

In 2018 , Meridian received a grant from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation to coordinate and manage a team of experts who are developing an assessment of the fisheries policy and legal landscape in Indonesia. The goal of the project is to increase the knowledge base for civil society organizations and others, to enable policy reform. This effort will build off of existing policy scoping work conducted through a series of interviews and will compliment other landscape assessment work currently being conducted in Indonesia. The findings will be shared in a report (including an executive summary of 10–15 pages plus a full report) and through easily digestible formats such as diagrams, tables, and infographics, with the goal of making versions of the deliverables available online through an Indonesian partner host. Meridian will also seek to identify an organizational home for the analysis, to ensure it is maintained going forward. Meridian and the consultant team will support the Packard Foundation in socializing the report as part of a side meeting during the 2018 Our Ocean Conference, which will take place in Bali in October.
