International Food Policy Research Institute 2012 Annual Staff Retreat

Related: Agriculture and Food Systems

The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) seeks sustainable solutions for ending hunger and poverty around the world. Headquartered in Washington, DC, IFPRI has regional offices on several continents and employs more than 450 individuals. In 2011 and 2012, Meridian worked with key staff to plan and facilitate the annual all-staff retreat in Washington, DC.

Held in February 2012, the retreat was designed to provide staff with opportunities to reconnect and learn from each other, contribute to defining IFPRI’s strategic direction, and achieve a greater understanding of how IFPRI is adjusting to and managing the implementation of two major research programs under the recently formed Consortium on International Agricultural Research: the Consortium Research Program (CRP) on Policies, Institutions, and Markets (CRP 2) and the CRP on Nutrition and Health (CRP 4). Participants also learned how these programs will be managed in relation to the governance and management of IFPRI as a whole, and what their roles in that process will be.
