Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Multi-Pollutant Process

Related: Environment and Natural Resources

At the request of the US Senate’s Environment and Public Works Committee, Meridian facilitated (and helped to convene) a two-day multi-stakeholder dialogue on issues and options related to legislative proposals for addressing multiple pollutants simultaneously under the Clean Air Act. The sessions involved approximately 50 carefully selected leaders of key stakeholder organizations, as well as more than 50 people who attended as observers. The objective of the dialogue was to explore underlying interests and alternative proposals for revising the Clean Air Act to simultaneously address three or four pollutants from electric power plants and other sources.
