Western Rangelands Data Initiative Seeks White Paper Authors

The Western Rangelands Data Initiative is seeking authors for five (5) white papers exploring key topics at the forefront of ranch and rangeland resilience in the Western US.

The papers are organized as follows:

  1. Current trends and the state of ranching. This category includes two papers focused on 1) trends in rangeland use and ranching, and 2) climate change and water in the West.
  2. Strategies and solutions for enhancing ranch and rangeland resilience. This category includes three papers focused on 1) federal agency capacity and technical assistance, 2) remote sensing as a rangeland health monitoring tool, and 3) robust ecosystem service markets for the West.

The number of authors, format, and audience for each paper varies. See the full Scope of Work for detailed paper descriptions, a timeline of deliverables, and full submission details.

Applications are due by COB Tuesday, September 10.
