About Kasey Armstrong

Kasey Armstrong is a Mediator and Program Manager at Meridian. She brings a decade of experience designing collaborative processes and community building experiences that leverage systems thinking principles to generate deeper trust, relationship, and resilience amongst groups. She loves working with anyone who identifies as a changemaker who is not here for the status quo. As a self-described process guardian, she tends to the “how” of things and strives to illuminate ways of making change – whether in the world or in our own lives – that honor our humanity, our creativity, our interdependence, and our wellbeing. While she sees herself a generalist and loves working across issue areas, she has an academic background in sustainable food systems and environmental science, and several years of experience working in organic agriculture across the country.

Prior to joining Meridian, Kasey co-founded and co-directed a social change facilitation practice focused on supporting change leaders to cultivate belonging, emergence, and living systems approaches to collaboration and community building, as well as providing training in whole systems praxis and anti-oppressive facilitation. One of her favorite projects involved developing and facilitating peer learning programming, collaborative projects, and a co-creative adaptive leadership training for a national network of green infrastructure leaders in the public sector. Previously, she worked as a traveling facilitator for SIT Study Abroad’s International Honors Programs in Sustainable Food Systems and Social Innovation, supporting students to deepen their understanding of power, privilege, and identity in a global context and facilitating multi-cultural community building throughout the program.

Kasey grew up and currently lives in the northeast United States and feels deeply tied to the land and seasons of this region. She is introverted, playful, grounded, weird, and a big feeler. She loves – among other things – sandwiches, singing, jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with her people. Nothing in life has taught her more than having her hands and feet in the soil.
