About Julia Novy
Julia Novy is a Senior Fellow at Meridian. She is Professor of the Practice and Executive Director of Stanford’s Change Leadership for Sustainability Program, as well as Founder and CEO of Resilience in Action, a private consultancy that provides comprehensive strategy and resilience building advisory services to executives and organizations.
Julia has over 25 years of experience leading non-profit and philanthropic organizations, where she has designed and scaled entrepreneurial solutions to global challenges that integrate economic, social, and environmental objectives. As Executive Director of the Lemelson Foundation, Julia was responsible for guiding over $100 million of investment in new technology, inventors, and social enterprises in the U.S. and developing countries. Julia also served as CEO of Washington STEM and Director of World Wildlife Fund’s Pacific Marine Office, where she collaborated with colleagues at Unilever and World Wildlife Fund to help develop and launch the Marine Stewardship Council.
Julia lives in Portland, Oregon with her two children, Eva and Miles. She has lived and worked extensively in developing countries and loves to travel and work in wild places, hosting resilience workshops for global leaders in the Peruvian Amazon. Julia is an avid yoga practitioner, diver, and athlete.
