About Anna Sophia Roberts
Anna Sophia Roberts is a Program Associate based in Washington, D.C. She works on a variety of projects, primarily focused on U.S. agriculture policy and international biodiversity conservation. A highlight of her time at Meridian has been working on and co-leading proposal development for Practice Standards, a project aimed at leveraging scientific knowledge to maximize the climate mitigation potential of the agricultural standards used by the Natural Resource Conservation Service. Anna Sophia enjoys supporting collaborative problem solving while continuously learning about a wide range of topics from diverse experts and stakeholders.
Before joining Meridian, Anna Sophia served as a Policy Intern at the Environmental and Energy Study Institute where she published articles highlighting renewable energy and climate adaptation initiatives and tracked environmentally relevant federal legislation. Prior to that, while at Carleton College, she helped develop the town of Northfield, Minnesota’s Zero Waste Plan in collaboration with local environmental leaders, businesses, and community members.
Outside of work, Anna Sophia can be found going on long runs in Rock Creek Park, biking, bouldering, or swimming. When not on the move, she enjoys discovering new music, listening to podcasts, and spending time with friends.
