About Katrina Gehman

Katrina Gehman is a Mediator and Program Associate at Meridian. Her work primarily focuses on climate and forests, supporting data equity for Lacuna Fund, which provides data scientists with the resources to produce locally owned datasets that address urgent environmental challenges worldwide.  

With expertise in conflict transformation, restorative justice, and peacebuilding through the arts, Katrina has spent the past decade cultivating peace across levels, from addressing gender-based trauma to analyzing lessons learned for United Nations peacekeeping missions and U.S. military operations. Prior to joining Meridian, Katrina supported strategic implementation of Women, Peace, and Security across the U.S. Department of Defense. Her varied career has also included teaching English as a Second Language and performing as a professional violinist.  

Originally from the Midwest, Katrina has traveled extensively around the world. Her hobbies include learning languages, improvising music, and hiking in the great outdoors with her adventure cat. Katrina is a certified yoga instructor. She also enjoys filming cinematic spoken word poetry!
