About Juan Lazo-Bautista
Juan Lazo-Bautista is a Project Coordinator based out of Meridian’s Washinton, D.C. office. He supports projects across a range of issue areas, including the development of sustainable global aquaculture, reimagining technical assistance for agriculture, and diversifying public land management practices.
Juan has experience in facilitation, nature and conservation education, and program management. Prior to Meridian, Juan managed and facilitated fellowship programs for environmental professionals where he was fortunate to learn from and grow alongside a national community of changemakers.
A native of Oaxaca, Mexico, Juan and his family are part of the Mexican diaspora in Southern California where he spent most of his early life. Currently living in Northwest Washington, DC, he enjoys social dancing, traveling on two-wheels and getting involved in local, community-based efforts.
