Candace Spencer Receives Soil and Water Conservation Society Leadership Award

Meridian Mediator and Program Manager, Candace Spencer, received the Soil and Water Conservation Society (SWCS) Chair Board Leadership Award for her leadership in developing the DEI Guidebook for Conservation Professionals.

Candace received the award at the 79th Annual Soil and Water Society Conference in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where she also presented on the Guidebook. The guidebook emerged from a project she led with SWCS, supported by Meridian staff Anitra Conover and Tannera George, and former staff member Maia Hatchett. Candace was also a plenary speaker for “Harnessing New Investments and Policies for Sustainable Solutions” (Natural Resources Conservation Service Chief, Terry Cosby, was in the audience!).
