Exploring Nature-Based Solutions in the Colorado River Basin

Meridian staff members Robyn Paulekas, Sara Schmidt, Carly Campana, and Juan Lazo-Bautista convened key agency members, scientists, NGO staff, and other river restoration professionals in Denver, Colorado to identify priority actions for amplifying and scaling nature-based solutions (NbS) for riverscape restoration on public lands in the Colorado River Basin. This effort built upon a collective understanding of opportunities and challenges associated with advancing NbS that was established through a five-part meeting series earlier this year. Both the in-person and virtual meetings were supported by Walton Family Foundation.
