Meridian Attends AI4D Africa Program Planning Event

Canada’s International Development Research Center (IDRC), the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO), Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and USAID have joined forces to support phase two of the AI for Development (AI4D) Africa program which invests in Africans to create and use artificial intelligence (AI) to lead healthier, happier and greener lives. Merdian received funding from the first phase of this program through IDRC for Lacuna Fund. Jennifer Pratt Miles was invited to participate in a collaborative planning event with other grantees this month in Accra, Ghana. Participants formulated plans for AI in three areas: capacity building, African languages, and climate change. Read more about the event.
