NRCS Conservation Benefits Team Hosts Workshop with Meridian

22 January 2024

The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Conservation Benefit project team met at Meridian Institute’s DC office to share, discuss, and refine their initial research findings regarding conservation benefit assessment data, models, and tools. The workshop featured a presentation from collaborator Dorn Cox of OpenTeam, who shared preliminary findings from a related NRCS project on conservation costs.

The purpose of the project is to develop a roadmap for how NRCS may develop tools to assess the benefits of conservation practices. The project report and recommendations will be presented to NRCS early next year.
