On the Isle of Vilm, Germany, Meridian Convenes DSI Users & European Policymakers

The Digital Sequence Information (DSI) Meridian team facilitated a meeting of DSI users and European policy makers. Global industry players in agriculture, biotech and pharma were in attendance, along with representatives from national and international research laboratories. The meeting is one of several in a series meant to help global stakeholders formulate a common approach to sharing benefits from the commercial use of publicly available DSI. Several more meetings remain prior to the culminating event later this year at the 16th Conference of the Parties of the Convention on Biological Diversity in Cali, Colombia.
