Meridian Institute has an immediate opening for a full-time Project Manager. This position may be remote, or based in either our Washington, DC or Dillon, CO office.

Meridian is a nonprofit consultancy that engages in dynamic problem solving with global leaders in business, government, civil society, philanthropy, and beyond. We bring people together, helping them navigate the dynamic variables that shape any collaborative search for solutions—from individual relationships to geopolitical considerations. Our work spans industries and sectors and includes projects focused on agriculture and food systems, climate change, forests, oceans and coasts, resilience, and science and technology, among others. Across these areas, we build and support partnerships that address our world’s complex challenges.

Within our broad range of services, the Project Manager position is integral in project planning and management within the practice group. We welcome applicants with at least 5 years of professional project and budget management experience in mid-level to larger organizations. This role requires excellent analytical skills as well as the ability to solve problems creatively and be resourceful under pressure. For the right person, this is an opportunity to learn and grow in an evolving and challenging field.

The Project Manager works closely with Project Directors to plan and designate project resources, define roles and responsibilities, and build accountability across the team. The Project Manager supports teams by preparing budgets, monitoring progress, and keeping team members informed and accountable to project milestones and deliverables.

The starting pay range for the Project Manager is $77,620 – $87,500 per year. This position is salaried and exempt (i.e., ineligible for overtime compensation.) Compensation will be based on years of education and/or experience.

Meridian offers an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; employer contributions to a 401(k) plan; and generous vacation, sick time, and holidays (alternative holidays available upon request and approval). In addition, a laptop and mobile phone will be issued in conjunction with employment. Washington, DC based staff are provided reimbursement of costs incurred from using public transit for commuting to and from work.
