Alexandra Williamson

Alexandra Williamson is a Project Associate and Ruckelshaus Fellow based in Meridian’s Washington, D.C. office. The focus of her projects span agriculture, public health, climate change, and oceans.  

Alexandra graduated from Davidson College with degrees in Environmental Studies and French and Francophone Studies. At Davidson, she led initiatives to reduce food waste and increase campus-wide recycling. Alexandra’s two semesters abroad fueled her interest in food systems and sustainability. In Paris, she explored how food helps to shape cultural identity. In Copenhagen, she learned valuable lessons about Europe’s approach to sustainability, which she seeks to apply in the U.S.  

Alexandra is a life-long dancer and dedicated crafter. When she is not dancing around the house, you can find her crocheting little gifts or dreaming of future travel adventures.
