About Clare Burke Ravizza

Clare Burke Ravizza is a Project Associate and Ruckelshaus Fellow in Meridian’s Washington, D.C. office. Her projects focus on regenerative agriculture, deforestation in supply chains, and justice and equity in conservation and farming.

Passionate about growing a more just food system, Clare has varied experience in movement-building, small-scale agriculture, and policy work. Before joining Meridian, she worked in food justice organizing with a coalition of urban gardeners in San Jose, California. As an undergraduate student and Brueggeman Fellow at Xavier University, she worked alongside farmers and community organizers in Scotland and Northern England to develop research on agroecology as a method for mitigating climate impacts and strengthening communities.

Originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, Clare enjoys exploring D.C. via the Metro Bike Trail. She spends her free time gardening, brewing kombucha, and seeking out the best spots for live music.
