About Gabe Lobet

Gabe Lobet is a Project Associate and Ruckelshaus Fellow in Meridian’s Washington, DC office. He contributes to a variety of projects at the intersection of climate, agriculture, and equitable food systems. He enjoys supporting the AGree Coalition and other collaborative processes addressing complex challenges, while learning from diverse experts and stakeholders.

Prior to joining Meridian, Gabe conducted and presented original research on carbon sequestration and storage potential in agricultural and restored prairie soils, and worked with farmers in Southern Minnesota to implement climate-smart agricultural practices. Working with Climate Focus, he mapped forestry initiatives driving nature-based carbon capture policies, and at the American Energy Society he led research for a report on energy and climate tech incubators.

Outside of work Gabe loves throwing pottery, traveling, and all things outdoors – like hiking peaks and dunking in icy rivers! Gabe grew up in Los Angeles, studied Earth and climate science at Carleton College, and now lives in DC where he enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, exploring the city, and engaging in Jewish community.
