About Haidee Clauer
Haidee Clauer is a Project Associate and Ruckelshaus Fellow at Meridian. Her work at Meridian involves advancing artificial intelligence applications in the Global South through greater access to open data with Lacuna Fund and through responsible AI with the AI Safety Fund.
Before joining Meridian, Haidee supported organic farming and sustainability initiatives on the Oregon Coast and in Bethlehem, Palestine. She has worked with Claremont City Hall and Kansas City’s tenant union to promote affordable, accessible housing. While studying Physics and Earth Sciences at Pomona College, Haidee researched sustainable cooling technology and led initiatives to improve equity and inclusion in STEM.
Haidee is based in Kansas City and enjoys reading, rock-climbing, and painting plants.
