About Sarah Beck

Sarah Beck is a Project Associate and Ruckelshaus Fellow based in Meridian’s Washington, D.C. office. She works primarily on projects related to climate, agriculture, and natural resource protection.

Before joining Meridian, Sarah worked for the Center for Environmental Farming Systems as a Farm to Early Childcare intern and Food Inspired Resilience and Equity intern. In her first role, she worked to expand access to farm-fresh produce in childcare centers by ordering, delivering, and distributing food from a food hub and developing educational farm to early-childcare resources for teachers.

In her second role, she facilitated community engagement workshops for the Sanford Agricultural Marketplace project, a center for local food and agriculture currently being designed in Sanford, North Carolina.

Sarah graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she studied Political Science, Environmental Justice, and Spanish. In her free time, she can be found spending time outdoors, watching UNC basketball, and finding new spots to listen to live music in D.C.
