Sophie Conroy

Sophie Conroy is a Project Associate and Ruckelshaus Fellow in Meridian’s Washington, D.C. office. She works on projects ranging from environmental policy advocacy to natural resource conservation in agriculture. 

Before joining Meridian, Sophie worked on environmental policy and climate issues in a variety of roles, including as an intern for the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis. She also researched water quality issues for an environmental law clinic in Missouri and wrote her senior thesis on the relationship between partisanship and water quality standards in state environmental agencies. 

Sophie is originally from outside of Boston and graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with degrees in Political Science and Environmental Analysis. In her free time, she can often be found reading, training for a half-marathon, or doing NYT crossword puzzles.
