About Saraswati
Saraswati is a women-owned Indonesian company that promotes development innovation. It provides support on human-centered design, online platform development, data training and analysis, strategic planning, evaluations, and institutional matchmaking. In addition, it leads its own Plastic-free Communities initiative, an effort to promote public awareness, support behavior change, and strengthen governance to reduce the use of single-use plastics. Located in Jakarta, Indonesia, Saraswati blends an experienced full-time team with a roster of task-specific associates.
Saraswati has collaborated with a variety of development partners, from The Asia Foundation and World Bank to international and national companies and civil society organizations. Recent work includes development of a CSO information and knowledge hub and research in support of the UN’s Indonesia country data strategy. Partnering with Meridian Institute, Saraswati provides support to the Indonesia Marine Funders Collaboration and to the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, which has included scenario planning to explore the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Indonesia.
