About Heather Lair

Heather Lair is a Partner in Meridian’s Washington, D.C. office, where she also serves as the Office Director. She leads projects focused on the nexus of climate, agriculture, food systems, and sustainability. A highlight of her time at Meridian was leading the Secretariat team supporting International Wineries for Climate Action, a collaborative group of environmentally committed wineries taking a science-based approach to reducing carbon emissions across the industry.

Heather has more than 25 years of experience supporting strategy, collaboration, and research to advance sustainability, enhance public policy, and improve organizational decision making. Prior to joining Meridian, she led climate and energy efficiency strategies for the University of Maryland and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras.

Heather lives in suburban Maryland where she hones her mediation skills with her husband, two young adult children, and a beloved Pitbull mix. Outside work, she swims to stay fit, enjoys cooking and gardening, and travels to experience unique cultures around the world.
